WALKTHROUGH - Chapter 8: Enshrouded in Darkness

Part 1 - The Palace Entrance



 

Walk up the stairs to activate a cutscene. After the cutscene destroy the weapon rack to get an axe. There is a chest with 10 sand credits against the back wall to the left. View Screenshot Move over to the area with no railing and wall run on the right wall to the shutter. Leap off the shutter to land on a ledge. Jump to the gap across from the ledge and climb up the gap. Turn around when you reach the top and jump to the floor with the lever. Rotate the lever to open the door. Walk through the door and jump to the curtain from the broken window. View Screenshot While sliding down the curtain, jump to the ledge across from it. Hang along the side of the ledge and shimmy to the left to reach the floor beside you. Wall run directly up the left wall to catch onto the ledge above. While on the ledge, jump to the wall across from you and wall jump all the way up to the railing of the floor above. Pull yourself over the railing and fight the two sand guards. They will see you no matter what you do. Walk to the area without railing and wall run on the right wall then jump to the pole across from the wall. Swing off the first pole to the pole above you then swing up to the plate above the second pole and stab it. Wall run to the right to reach the next floor.

Hang off the side of the railing closest to the next plate and jump then stab it. Watch the area to the right while you are hanging off the plate. A ledge platform will extend out of the wall and then go back into the wall a few seconds later. Wait for the plate to extend then wall run to the right and fall onto the platform. Wall run up the wooden wall to the side and wall jump to the plate on the wall across from the wooden wall. While on the plate, wall run to the right and jump to the pole across from the wall. Stand on top of the first pole and jump to the pole above. Swing across to the next pole ahead and jump to the floor with the female sand creatures. Wait for one of them to stop moving their swords violently and attack her. It is much harder to fight these female sand creatures with normal Prince so you must take advantage of their weakness. They will never fully stop moving, but they will slow down and that is when you should strike.

Look off the side of the railing and you will see a group of three plates on the elevator shaft wall. View Screenshot Hang off the railing and jump to the first plate and stab it, then jump up the plates until you reach the third plate. From the third plate, jump to the wall across from you then wall jump to the switch on the wall above (3 jumps). Immediately activate Eye of the Storm while falling and stab the plate below. Drop and stab the second plate then jump back to the railing. Run through the newly opened door and drink from the fountain at the end of the twisting hall to start the challenge for the fifth life upgrade.

Stay on one side and wait for the slow saw blade to move to the other side and wait until right before the rotating spiked floor is about to rotate inward then jump across to the platform with the slow saw blade. Jump up the first three ledges as they come out of the wall then hop across to the next two ledges and jump across to the floor above from the second ledge. Move fast along these ledges! The area above has three spiked rotators and two saw blades on the floor. Wait for the spiked rotator on the left wall to rotate inward then dash across on the left. Make sure that the left most saw blade and the spiked wall are not going to meet at the left end when dashing. Eye of the Storm will help here as usual. Run up to the light in the back to get the upgrade. Walk back down the hall and hit the switch on the floor to get back to your business in this level.

Rotate the lever to open one of the doors. Break the weapon rack for a Mace. Wall run up the right wall as you enter through the doorway and stab the plate. Jump to the railing of the floor above and pull yourself up. Walk to the railing closest to the plate in the back. Hang off the railing and jump and stab the plate. Use landscape view to give you an idea of where to go next. When the platform to the right extends out of the wall, wall run to the right and land on the platform then quickly jump to the ledge on the side wall. Move to the right side of the ledge and jump to the wooden wall across from you and wall jump all the way to the railing of the floor above. When you grab onto the railing you will notice some guards on that floor. [SPEED KILL] Move to the far right of the railing and pull yourself up for some easy speed kills. [END SPEED KILL] Wall run on the right wall that the guards were staring at and jump to pole across from the wall. Swing to the next pole. On the second pole swing toward the wall then wall jump to the plate and stab it. From the plate, wall run to the right to land on the ledge below. Walk to the right while on the ledge and go around the corner. Jump to the railing of the floor across from you. Regardless of what you do here, the guard on the floor will see you. After he catches sight of you two female sand creatures will join him and attack you. Fight them off and hang off the side of the railing closest to the elevator with Farah inside and jump to it then pull yourself up for a cutscene. You can actually jump to the elevator without fighting the enemies if you want.

 

After the cutscene, female sand creatures will attack. Attack them using either light post to the side to make this battle much easier. When the battle is over rotate the lever to start the moving wall above. View Screenshot Move below the moving wall and wait for the wall to move inward - at that moment wall run up either side wall and wall jump up to the first opening above. Wall run up the next moving wall ahead and stab the plate on it. Wait until the wall moves outward then wall run to the left and stab the next plate nearly covered in greenery. Jump to the plate above it and stab it. Jump to the side of the platform above and pull yourself up. There is a plate on the moving wall across from you. Wall run on the left wall as the moving wall moves outward and stab the plate. Wait for the wall to move outward again and wall run to the right. View Screenshot You will land on another platform. Look for the curtain on the wall out in the distance. Wall run on the left wall and slide down the curtain. Jump off the curtain near the bottom to land on a beam extending out from the middle big column. Walk toward the big column and use the ledge around it to walk around the left side. Walk out onto the next beam and jump to the gap across from it. Climb all the way up the gap and turn around to see a plate across from you. Jump to the plate and stab it. Wall run to the left then jump off the wall to the plate across from the current wall and stab it. On the current plate, wall run to the crevice on the right. Move to the right along the crevice and drop to the doorway. If you look in the back you will see two plates on the wall to the left. Wall run on the right wall and jump to the first plate across from the wall. Wall run to the next plate on the right and stab it. From the second plate, jump to the pole across from you and swing to the next plate across from the pole and stab it. Wait until the moving wall moves outward then wall run on the left toward the save fountain.

Part 2 - The Hanging Gardens

Walk through the doorway and hang along the side of the floor. Drop to the ledge below and move to the right. Jump to the crevice above the ledge and shimmy over to the above platform. A cutscene will activate soon. View Screenshot Wall run on the wall that has the wooden shutter that Farah just closed. Jump to the pole overlooking a gap near the end of the wall run. Drop to the gap and slide down. [SPEED KILL] Rotate the camera when the camera angle changes to get both warriors on the screen at the same time. Wait until the standing warrior turns his side to you then speed kill the warrior below the gap. Quickly move behind the standing warrior and speed kill him as well. [END SPEED KILL] Break the weapon rack to the side for a Mace.

Move to the side of the wall that the standing warrior was next to and wall run out to the plate and stab it. View Screenshot Wait until the block in the back is about to fully extend out of the wall then wall run to the left and jump to the block. Before the block goes back in the wall, jump to the pole up ahead. You can also wall run to the pole. Stand on top of the first pole and jump to the next pole up above. Jump up all the poles and reach the beam at the top. Walk to the end of the beam and jump to the root in the back. The root is just like a pole. Swing off the root to the tall platform across from it to activate another cutscene. Wall run on the left wall and you will catch onto a piece of the wall across from the tall platform you were just on. Drop to the ledge then fall into the gap and slide down.



 

[SPEED KILL] You will have to use landscape view in order to see the guards below you. View Screenshot Please note that there are two sand gate guards and a warrior below. Go ahead and activate landscape view right now. Please take note that after you kill the first sand gate guard you are going to have to hang along the railing that is in front of the sand gate. This is the only portion that the guards are not looking at when they have their backs turned. Wait until the pacing sand gate guard walks below the gap you are in. When both of the other enemies turn their backs to the sand gate guard, activate the speed kill. Both enemies should turn their backs when the pacing sand gate guard turns his back to the gap after pacing over to it. Immediately following the speed kill on the first sand gate guard, walk directly ahead of the sand gate and hang off the side of the railing. For the next speed kill I would recommend going after the warrior. Hang onto the railing until both enemies turn their back, then hop up and speed kill the warrior from behind. After the speed kill hang off the side of the railing that is closest to the warrior you just defeated. Shimmy over to the final sand gate guard, but do not shimmy in front of him or he will see you. Pull yourself up when he turns his back and speed kill him. [END SPEED KILL] Walk up to the sand gate to receive The Sand Storm power and be sure to grab one of the sand gate guards' swords.

Walk to the side of the railing across from the plate on the wall up ahead. Jump to the bottom plate and stab it, then jump to the top plate and stab it. When the wooden wall up above extends outwards wall run to the left and hit the wall then wall jump to the crevice up above (2 jumps). A warrior will step out on the platform to the side, but we'll get to him later. Jump to the wooden wall beside you when it extends outward again and wall jump all the way to the next crevice up above. Shimmy to the left on the crevice and pull yourself up on the small ledge. Jump to the crevice above and shimmy all the way to the left until you reach a gap. Fall into the gap and slide down it. [SPEED KILL] Unfortunately, there are no double speed kills for warriors. Do not kill the warrior that walks toward the railing in the back first! Kill the other warrior for your first speed kill since he will turn first. Wait until they meet together in the middle then when they both turn, speed kill the warrior that walks away last from the gap. Sneak behind the other warrior and quickly speed kill him before he turns. [END SPEED KILL] Walk toward the railing and wall run on the right wall where there is no railing. You will land on ledge. Move to the left of the ledge then jump to the pole across from you. The camera will switch to show you a crevice up above. Swing to the crevice and shimmy all the way to the right. Jump to the balcony across from you. Walk through the doorway to find a save fountain.

Part 3 - The Structure's Mind

 

Walk out onto the beam and jump to the gap in the back. I would very much recommend using Eye of the Storm to slow down time for this portion. At the bottom you will have to deal with some spike pillars and arrows. View Screenshot Wait until the arrows are reloading then stay to the left and dash under the first spike pillar as it moves upward and you should be able to escape the second spike pillars grasp as well. Use Eye of the Storm for the three saw blades ahead and you shouldn't have any problems. When you go through the doorway a cutscene will start that will show you a puzzle that needs solving in order to exit this area. The objective of this puzzle is to get all three platforms to the top at the same time. You will need to rotate the levers on each platform in order to raise each one to the top. Rotating the levers will block off certain areas above so you will have to rotate them in a certain order. Rotating a lever counterclockwise will move it upward, rotating the lever clockwise will move it downward. You will only need to move them upward if you use the solution below.

Stand in the middle of the three platforms (facing the furthest one in the back) and press the landscape view button. I will refer to them as middle lever, for the one ahead of the Prince, right lever, for the one to the right of the Prince, and left lever, for the one to the left of the Prince at this time. - To start things off, climb to the MIDDLE lever and rotate it counterclockwise one time.

- Drop down from the middle lever platform and rotate the RIGHT lever counterclockwise.

- Drop down from the right lever and rotate the LEFT lever counterclockwise.

- Now we need to get back to the RIGHT lever. Drop down from the right lever platform and wall run to the ledge on the side of the wall to the right of the middle lever platform. Jump to the third ledge up above and jump to the small platform right beside the right lever. Jump to the platform below and rotate the right lever counterclockwise.

- The next lever we need to rotate is the MIDDLE lever. Turn around from where you currently are (right lever) and wall run to the group of ledges you just jumped off of. Drop down to the third ledge from the bottom and jump to the platform with the middle lever. Rotate the middle lever counterclockwise.

- The final lever we need to rotate is the LEFT lever. Wall run over to the group of ledges to the left of the middle lever. Drop down to the third ledge from the bottom and jump over to the left lever platform. Rotate the left lever counterclockwise to solve the puzzle.

A cutscene will activate after you solve the puzzle. Wall run back to the group of ledges then drop down them one by one until you reach the bottom. Run to the figure in the distance next to the door in the back for a cutscene.
