WALKTHROUGH - Chapter
10: The Timeline's Most Promising Outcome
Run up the stairs ahead then turn right and run up
the next set of stairs. The path to the right will lead
you to a chest with 10 sand credits.
The path to the left will lead you to a switch that
will open the door down the stairs you just came from.
You will need to wall run to press the switch and you
will have plenty of time to get through the door before
it closes so don't waste any sand getting through it.
Walk down the hall after going through the doorway and
turn to the right. When you come to the railing hang
along the side of the railing and jump to the railing
of the side across from you. Break the cracked wall
on the other side with your sword.
Walk down the stairs and get on the elevator.
It will start automatically. A cutscene will start
when you reach the top.
Boss - Vizier
The first part of this fight is pretty easy. Do any
combo to the Vizier until
he blocks one of your attacks then roll directly away
from him to avoid his
counterattack. All of his attacks are unblockable, but
once he attacks, he
will not attack again for quite a while. His main attack
is an attack where he
will close both of his claws around you. When he comes
toward you that is a
sign that he is about to do this attack. He sometimes
does a lunge attack
also, but if you keep moving the lunge will not hit
you. He sometimes shoots
some energy balls at you as well. You will need to stay
moving to avoid them.
If you hit him before he has a chance to do it then
you can get a full combo
out on him. After enough attacks the Vizier will float
into the background and
send a piece of a column flying toward you. If you keep
moving the column will
not hit you. He will do this three times during the
first part of the battle
after you have hit him enough. Each time he will throw
one more column than he
did before.
Soon a cutscene will start and the Vizier will break
a section of the wall and spread it around the area.
The pieces will float around in circular pattern. If
you manage to touch any piece, you will take damage.
The Vizier will also shoot energy balls at you the whole
time. To hit him during this phase you will have to
activate a speed kill sequence on him. In order to get
the distortion for a speed kill, you will have to wall
run directly up a section of the wall while behind him
and the distortion will start as you turn around from
the wall run in midair. Press the secondary attack button
just like any other speed kill. You will have to get
a total of three speed kills on him to end the second
part of this battle.
Speed Kill 1: The Prince will leap toward the Vizier
and to stab him
in the air, but miss the opportunity and grab onto his
claw and use it to swing on top of the Vizier and
him in the upper half then the Prince will hang onto
the Vizier a bit longer until the Prince will finally
jump into the air and
his left claw off.
Speed Kill 2: The Prince will leap up into the air
and do a backflip then
the dagger into the Vizier's top half in order to hang
on then jump again and stand on top of the Vizier while
nearly losing his balance and then hang onto the Vizier's
side and his torso.
The Prince will then leap up into the air and
the dagger deep into the Vizier's right claw and tear
through his claw as the Prince slides down causing the
claw to fall off the Vizier when the Prince hits the
ground.
Speed Kill 3: We will be shown an overhead view as
the Prince will leap directly above the Vizier and
his dagger into the Vizier's top portion while falling
then dangle onto the side of the Vizier and
him in the side and wrestle with him a bit then jump
into the air and his
father's sword deep into the Vizier's top half and struggle
to get his sword out of the Vizier's chest before he
falls to the ground. The blow was too great however,
so the Prince will have to jump off the Vizier without
his sword leaving the Vizier straggling in the air with
a sword stuck in his chest.
A cutscene will play after the three speed kills. The
Vizier will spread the
pieces of the wall all around him in the air, but little
does he know that he
has actually made an obstacle course directly up to
him. For the third part of
the battle you will have to make your way up to the
Vizier using the pieces of
the wall that are floating around the area. This is
no easy task since the
Vizier will be shooting energy balls down at you the
whole time. This means
that you will have to constantly stay on the move no
matter the circumstances
while climbing or jumping to each section of the wall
that he has spread out.
If you ever need to stop, make sure to stop on a flat
piece of wall. Never
stop on a pole or that will be a guaranteed kill if
he hits you.
- To start things off, you will need to find the closest
piece to the floor and
wall run on the wall directly across from it then leap
to it at the peak of the
wall run. You will have to pull yourself up
- Jump to the next piece of wall directly in front
of you.
- The screen should change to a view of the Prince's
left. Jump to the pole on
the hanging portion of the wall to the left.
- Swing to the platform against the side of the main
wall ahead.
- Wall run on the left wall and jump to the small beamlike
wall piece at the
very end of the wall run.
- Pull yourself up the beamlike wall piece and jump
to the next piece of wall
across from you.
- Jump to the tall piece to the left of the piece you're
currently on. Farah
should be very close to you off to the side when you
pull yourself up.
- Turn to the right just a bit to see a flat piece
up ahead. Jump to it.
- Jump to the next piece against the side of the wall
up ahead.
- Wall run on the left side of the wall and jump to
the pole on the piece of
wall hanging across from the main wall.
- Swing to the beamlike piece of wall across from the
pole and pull yourself
up.
- Jump toward the main wall ahead and you will grab
onto a small section of a
broken piece of the wall with a grated design on it.
- Wall run on the left wall and jump to the flat piece
of wall that will appear
as the camera follows you.
- Jump to the beamlike wall piece ahead and pull yourself
up.
- Leap to the pole across from the wall piece. Neither
of the narrow points of
the beamlike wall piece are pointing at the pole so
don't reposition the
camera.
- Swing from the pole and leap to the flat piece of
wall up ahead.
- The camera should change to show you another flat
piece of wall to the
Prince's right as he lands. Jump to it.
- Pull yourself up and jump to the beamlike piece far
in the back.
- Leap to the next flat piece from the beamlike piece.
- Reposition the camera and leap to the pole across
from the piece you're
currently on.
- Leap to the flat piece ahead of the pole.
- The camera should change so that you can see the
wall in front of you. Wall
run up the wall directly in front of the Prince then
leap toward the beamlike
wall piece across from it.
- Pull yourself up the beamlike wall piece and leap
to the next beamlike wall
piece in the distance which is directly in front of
the Vizier!
- Leap toward the Vizier and a speed kill sequence
sound will chime, but the screen will rotate around
the Prince and the Vizier as the Prince is about to
make the final blow with the Dagger of Time. The screen
will continue to rotate until the primary attack button
is pressed. Use this chance to do whatever you want
to for as long as you want to. Yell out one-liners at
the screen, hand gesture, or go get yourself a soda
and come back then press the primary attack button to
land the final blow on the Vizier and end the trilogy.
Here's your dagger son!
After the cutscene, you will have control over the
Prince and will face his
inner demon. Keep attacking the Dark Prince until you
start to fall. For this
portion, you cannot die, so it would be best to try
this portion for yourself,
but if you want to see how it is done then look below.
- Jump to the gold platform ahead. Jump to the next
gold platform with the
wall to the side. Wall run over to the Dark Prince and
attack him.
- Jump to the next gold platform up ahead then jump
to the next. The second platform will move toward the
Dark Prince. Jump to the area with the Dark Prince from
the moving platform and strike him.
- Walk out onto the beam ahead and jump to the next
beam up ahead. Drop down
to the beam below and walk to the platform it is connected
to. Wait on the
platform and another platform will appear next to the
Dark Prince. Jump over
to the new platform and you will be transported to a
familiar area. Walk to
the end of the rock platform and jump toward the middle
area. You will appear
in front of the Dark Prince. Strike him with your father's
sword.
- The platform that you are on will start to rotate.
Jump to the platform in
the distance and walk across the beam to the next platform.
Jump to the area
with the Dark Prince and hit him.
- Walk out onto the beam ahead then jump to the next
beam. Walk across the
middle beam then jump to the next. You will start to
fall to another familiar
place. Jump to the platform ahead after the sequence.
Wait for the platform
to move downward then jump to the flat platform across
from you. Jump to the
area with the Dark Prince and attack him.
- Jump to the open area ahead. You will be transported
to another familiar area.
Jump off the middle platform to end the sequence.
Run up the stairs in front of you. You will be transported
downstairs, but the Dark Prince will be on the platform
across from you. Jump to him and hit him.
- Jump to the platform ahead. Jump to the four-sided
platform then jump back
to the platform you were just on. Jump back to the four-sided
platform again
and the long end should move to the top. Run to the
end and jump to the Dark
Prince then strike him.
- Jump to the next platform and wait for it to move
to the right. Jump to the
platform with the wall to the side when it is in front
of you. Wall run on the
left wall to make it to the Dark Prince. Hit him once
again.
- Walk out onto the beam and wait for the rotating
beam to rotate one end
toward you then jump to it. Walk to the next end and
jump to the beam in front
of the Dark Prince. Jump toward the Dark Prince's platform
for a sequence that
seems familiar. Run toward Farah. A cutscene will start.
After the cutscene, the Dark Prince will stand in your
path. No matter how
many times you hit him nothing will change. He will
only multiply for every
hit you make on him and continue to taunt you. Run up
the stairs to finish
this area. A cutscene will play after you make it so
far up the stairs.
Sit back now and enjoy the wonderful ending. Hopefully
you'll catch the reference to The Sands of Time. If
you save the game when prompted then that save will
start you at "The Mental Realm" if you reload
it.
