George Lucas says he's already identified the one person who can keep the "Indiana Jones" franchise going: Harrison Ford.

The filmmaker scoffed at the possibility of passing the famed fedora from Ford to Shia LaBeouf, the 22-year-old actor who played Indy's son Mutt Williams in this summer's "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."

"He is Indiana Jones," Lucas said of Ford. "If Indiana Jones wasn't in it, you'd have to call it 'Mutt Williams and the search for Elvis.' ... "Yeah, it's 'Mutt Williams and the Search for Elvis.'"

I just saw Pineapple Express, and I loved it. It's a stupid-funny movie, which is to be expected from Judd Apatow. But James Franco, IMO, did an amazing job. If you liked Superbad and Knocked Up, I suggest you go see this movie.

I heard the love gure was one of Mike Meyers' worst movies. Now that's just from what I've heard from ALOT of people. A few people have said it is quite funny. It just depends on how easily your entertained.

Well I saw Max Payne today, since the movies announcement I knew whatever it turned out to be it wouldn't top the games, nothing would for me, there just that good. But I was really hoping this movie would be at the very least okay and like Hitman churn out a decent movie adaption...my worst fears were realized this afternoon though, they've killed my hero Max, at least on screen.

In a nutshell the movie was atrocious. No story, very little action and a plot that was so bad I began shaking my head and talking to myself in disgust. The main problem with the movie is they borrow very little from the game, a few characters, that's about it. It's as if the screenwriter made it up as he went along not following the games already brilliant story arc, whoever wrote it should truly be ashamed of himself and never pick up a pen and ink again. Hell, a hobbie writer like myself could've written a better script. I'm sure somewhere out there Sam Lake (writer and creator of Max Payne) is sobbing in his closet lol...

I never really liked the cast at all but I figured they'd be able to make it work with the amount of material they have to work with...I mean the game is all about the intricate revenge story and character development, there's absolutely none in this movie, just a confusing plot and bad acting. Wahlberg really let me down. The only good thing I took out of it was James McCaffreys (voice from the game) cameo, at least he wasn't forgotten. I guess I should be really off, I mean the way I've gone on about Max here is pretty evident. If I were 16, 17 again yeah I'd probably be a lot more angry and disappointed but being a little older and wiser I would much rather just forget about the movie and pretend it never happened tarnishing Max's name. Maybe it would've helped if the movie was done in narrative like the games, but they didn't even try. Story notwithstanding they dumbed it down too much for the PG-13 rating, from the ground up they should've understood it's an R movie. Max Payne is a violent, bloody game for mature teens and adults...not kids over the age of thirteen :rolls eyes:

In the end the movie isn't even a shell of the game, not even a microcosm. Just an underfunded, poorly written movie. Yes, that's right, a very, very, very bad movie. For Max's sake, or whatevers left of it onscreen I pray there is no sequel...under the right circumstances (writer, director, cast) this movie could be done properly, but like all hollywood suckers they refuse to shell out the cash and take the time needed to make a truly great adaption. It can be done, just look at the new Batman movies. Yet another game-movie adaption bites the dust...

Final thought: They've molded the already perfect story of Max Payne into a melted lop of hollywood

For those interested, some history- Link

Are you serious man, thank god you told me I really wanted to watch it.
Is there any chance for a "better" Max Payne?,or they killed it's cinematic future too?

There's talk of a sequel but I don't think Wahlberg will do it, he said awhile ago that he doesn't do sequel movies...he was pretty adamant about it.

An interesting note, after the credits it shows Max meeting Mona in a bar...she shows him a paper will Nicole Hornes picture plasted on the front page hinting at a sequel.

So to answer your question: Could they make a sequel? Yes, its very likely they will. As God awful as the movie was it has made decent money thus far. But should they? No, absolutely not. I don't think the fans can forgive another half assed piece of garbage from hollywood like this.

Like I said under the right circumstances (writer, director cast) a movie could work, they have the material but they have to fund it properly and its pretty clear hollywoods not going to do that with video game movies.

The only sacrifice I see is if a Halo movie is ever made. Then, maybe.
