Tried out the build on the dev channel for about a week. The new UI elements look cool and cohesive but has the same general shortcomings as all redesigns (a lot of legacy and important stuff built on old frameworks of the past). Microsoft also has the same general issue where their new designs have a lot of regression in terms of equal functionality and they're aware of such by adding in actions in new menus that bring up the old menus that had the functionality. I hope they built in an analytics tool to determine how many times that old menu is being accessed.
Ultimately went back yesterday due to a lot of oddities with several games with anti-cheats that were confused as the new OS being reported and kicking me out due to it. Somewhat of a funny showstopper for those games but I don't think this is that big of an issue this early in the development cycle.
Your bitterness, I will dispel

Somehow I was playing around with Winaero tweaker and I was able to get the Windows 10 style start menu back, but once I restarted I got the Windows 11 two step start menu back. This was in a VM, I have no clue how I managed to do I other than changing the size of the taskbar within Winaero tweaker, but it proves it's still there......for now 😂

I'll wait to upgrade till the last possible moment so most issues can be sorted out first. Windows 10 will still be officially supported by Micro$oft for a few more years a recent article said and so I imagine most games will still be Windows 10 compatible during that time. I see no reason to upgrade to a newer OS when Windows 10 has been doing well for me for several years now. When I rushed to upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 8 about six years ago, I was unable to play many games due to driver issues and a lack of support for Windows 10 at the time. I don't want that hassle again.

Yes people I would advise holding off upgrading to Windows 11 for now. Some people who have accessed it is saying there was issues running older trainers.

If there is an issue with "old trainers" I need to know specifically which ones. I am running Windows 11 on my PC and so far all trainers tested have worked.

I'm still on the X299 platform, and though there is a TPM header on my motherboard; I found that by going into the BIOS and changing my security setting to "enable", and changing over to the "PTT" setting (rather than TMP); Windows PC Health Check gave me the all good green light. My motherboard is made by MSI...overall it has been a great board.
I want to add here that I am not in a hurry to upgrade to Windows 11. I'm still waiting on more game related performance reviews.
We are being consumed by statism (state-ism). It is very unfortunate that our normalcy bias prevents us from being aware of this. Also, regardless of our level of awareness, the end of this process will be our enslavement to the state.

LTT did a deep dive on the system requirements and giving some good analysis and explanations for why some of the things are the way they are. Goes a little into TPMs, what they are, and how to get one (or show you how to enable for some cases) if you want one. Worth a watch to gain some insights:
