    Hello guys!
    I was reading about the new Windows 11 and the TPM technology, so I was searching around about this.
    I have a not so old PC (Intel Core i5-3570) and a Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H motherboard.
    CPU doesn't seem to support the TPM nor the Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT).
    On the other hand, motherboard does have a header for TPM module, but does not come with it (don't know if supports version 1.2 or 2)
    So, what happens in this case, if anyone knows? Win 11 will be able to be installed and run?

    As of now the CPU must be generation 8 or higher and have TPM built in or the 2.0 module must be plugged into the header on the board.

    @CyPHeR36

    So, let's say that Microsoft decides to support my Intel CPU and also plug a TPM module on the motherboard. I suppose that I won't have a problem with Win 11.
    Otherwise, if Microsoft doesn't support my CPU, then plugging a TPM module won't make a difference. Win 11 won't be installed.... Am I right? :/

    Hello all,

    I'm running on a fairly new ASUS Tuf A17 laptop. Fortunately, it appears my specs are sufficient as I'd forgotten I had opted in to Windows Insider and my system updated itself to a Dev build of Windows 11. The Dev version broke my Mozilla VPN and I rolled it back to Windows 10. However, a couple days later, I decided to try it again. Turns out the build had been updated already and now, everything works properly. Performance seems a touch slower, probably more animated screen stuff slowing things down. But overall, my experience hasn't been bad. Everything I've tried to do thus far has worked. I'm a heavy gamer and so far, no issues. Hope others have positive experiences as well.

    Well I am not surprised it is all about $$$$$$$'s £££££'s and any other currency, Microsoft will always keep changing windows sooner or later lucky for me at 74 years old in 2 months it will not bother me I believe in 5 years the new Windows will become live for people to purchase, I honestly think it is a great shame for the general public who sooner or later will want or have to purchase the new Windows 11.

    On another big issue, I believe what PWizard has mentioned what is this Chip TPM 2.0? also Chris what consequences will it have if PC users don't have this TPM 2.0 chip what I do know that there is a huge shortage of chips for graphics cards that's why the prices have hit the roof, this whole World has gone crazy all a no good situation.

    TMP is basically an extra computer chip that plugs into the motherboard or if your CPU has it built in already. It's called a Trusted Platform Module and just adds another layer of security to you computer at the hardware level. It generates and stores encryption keys and performs functions in a tamper-resistant manner. It provides additional protection against malware and other types of attacks. If you don't have it you just won't be able to run Win 11.

    I spoken to my Tech Mate at a School down in England. There is a major Shortage now on TPM chips. Because of Win 11. So might have to wait.
