I've currently got a 1080 ti with my primary monitor being 3440 x 1440 (decided to go ultrawide rather than 4k) and it still runs everything comfortably.
There's nothing I'm aware of on the gaming horizon that is making me think I want/need a new graphics card so at this rate I'm only expecting to get a 3000 series card if my current PC self destructs.
