Honestly I'm waiting more for games that are worth to own a high end graphic card. Currently most games are designed to run on current (old) consoles. So I don't feel its worth to own a 3000 when even a 2080(TI) can run everything at a decent level. Most reviews show that there are only edge scenarios where 3000 shines. For example 4k with RTX on.
Let's wait for new console generation and the adoption time is over and AAA games gets designed to run on new console generation. Then we can discuss a new graphic card generation on PC again.
Don't get me wrong 3000 series is very well. Good price for good performance. But is the extra performance required? Do current graphic cards suffer on rendering current games? That's the more important question for me. And I think we're doing fine as of now.

I run most games maxed/high settings on a measly 100Hz UWQHD display. I have issues in some games to keep the FPS high enough and I can really feel the drops when its not able to keep 100fps. I know I know, first world problems. But I need the performance especially in competitive titles I play.
The reason why I want to upgrade is the raytracing technology to see how much better it looks in games, especially in titles with DLSS support and the huge performance boost compared to my 1080Ti which I remember was the big dog when I got it. haha
im currently using a 1080TI, so unless it dies on me, i will most likely skip another generation
The performance/cost of the 3xxx must have made a few 2xxx buyers cry tho 😂
yup was thinking the same. My 1080ti seems to be holdin up quite nicely. Waiting for next gen may be the way to go here.

My System has a Geforce GTX 980 SuperClocked and it's completely sufficient for actual games.
Also the Prices are insane and scare me off from buying one in the near future.
I have SLI 2080 Ti, and it's great, but if I can shift to 1x card to handle it all, it would help performance in some games that don't like SLI and make it easier to achieve 100 FPS in others. I play on UWQHD at 100Hz, so really need that power.
I also understand people not wanting to buy it. I'm feeling the pain of 2x 2080 Ti's at $1,200 ($2,400 total) that can be replaced by 2x 3080's for $700 ($1,400) total. Such is the life I guess when you live on the bleeding edge.
I did see there was "President" version floated on an Asian website; not sure if it's real, but could. A lot of thinking is that they will release a 3080 Ti with 20GB, and an actual Titan with a full die, and more RAM; could be the "President" one.
Interested to hear if anyone gets one / how it is.
