all i can say is ITS ABOUT ****ING TIME!!!
lol agreed. I'm pretty pumped for both this and Mass Effect 3.
I love you.
Both of them are my favourite RPG's of all time.
Buts its only Mass Effect 3 I can put my money on right now since there is no scope for ****ing up. They can only do it if BioWare hands it over to Pandemic Studios.
I am really ecstatic over hearing the news of Elder Scrolls V finally being announced, but you can never know since Oblivion raised the bar super high! So it is going to be super tough to go beyond or even at par with it.
What I really admired about Oblivion is the sheer amount of content that it had. The original game already made me feel that it was packed with numerous expansion pavks. But after playing Fallout 3/NV (Its a different game series p But still its a RPG from Bethesda), I don't think that there will be that much content in Skyrim.
If there is - My expectations are nearly met with.

I love the Elder Scrolls, but I'm just hoping they don't screw Brink over in preparation for Skyrim... because I've been stoked about Brink for about a year...
Sorry for the double post, but...
Brink was already in production long before so you need not worry.
Though its definately going to be shadowed over the announcement of Skyrim.
its been almost 6 years since Oblivion was released and you can bet that bethesta has been working on ES V since then, i don't believe they're going to skimp on the content at all.
Well after hearing rumours of the game getting a lot more linear does put a question mark to your statement, no offense.
But rumours usually stay as rumours and I hope for it in this instance.

The final stages of production are arguably the most important. If they have to drop their work on Brink after this announcement to pick up slack on Skyrim, it'll likely mean a crappily made Brink. They won't be too likely to delay it again even if it's not up to standards.

This is true. Fallout 3 and New Vegas only have Bethesda logo on it, Bethesda didn't touch Fallout3 and NV hence why they were made by Pandemic or who ever it was. All previous Elder Scrolls games set up the RPG bar pretty high, each game put it even higher, so they have to work hard and long on Skyrim if they want it to be equal with Oblivion or even more awesome. And even thought Skyrim is somewhat smaller than Province of Cyrodiil I think it'll still be overloaded with map locations, quests, side quests, brotherhoods and what not. Elders Scrolls series is a grandfather of RPG games. They cannot **** that up. Only a stupid person would do that.
