Mafia II Message Board  

I have a very strange problem with Mafia II which is driving me NUTS ! When i start playing , the framerate varies between 20 to 30 Frame per Second ,then eventually it drops down to something about 5 or 6 FPS ! What should I do ?????

Certain Points :

1. I Have turned the APEX on .
2. It doesn't matter on which graphic quality I'm playing .It always has that problem .
3. My graphic card is NVIDIA Geforce 8600 GT .
4. I have the newest graphic card driver .
5. I cant upgrade my PC at present .

1. Turn it off, the 8600 is not a good card for Physx.

2 and 3. the 8600 is minimum specs. So make sure your not trying to run with mass AA or high settings. And also make sure your HDD which the game is installed too is well defragmented, if you have 2 HDD's or more, install the game on a different drive than C:

You didn't say what CPU you have etc either, so what I said is general advice.
