Elemental: War of Magic Message Board  

Ya, so here I am playing along, and I notice after turn 300-400 somewhere on a medium or large map, I get a ding in the background, so I tab out and dang, what do you know, out of memory error.

Now I know it's not the trainer causing it, and I got 3gigs of ram and 512 on video, so I'm thinking it's the city's, as they dynamically generate and show what upgrades / spaces you use up.

The more players you add, the faster the memory runs out.. Hopefully they do something to fix the game as man, I hate running out of memory during a good war =)

Anyone come up with any suggestions to fix this or is this only effecting me?

This is a known problem and is being address in patches.

Make sure you update your game via impulse, you should be on v.1.05

Simiral issue may be result to outdated drivers. Playing it in an ATI machine got simmiral errors. After i updated the drivers everything went ok. In my nvidia pc i had to patch to 1.05 too.

Ya, I patched up, I'm afraid to use the newest ATI patch as I had heard bad things about it.. Glitch'n games n such with cursor problems and such.. but it could just be a hater.

I moved to a small map so it helped, no errors so far.
Updated to 1.05, it did help a bit.

Hopefully they continue making great progress on that issue ^^.
Memory leaks like that could make a desert flourish like a garden over night!

Patch v1.06 still get memory errors. Was hoping it was fixed like they say. Anyway they seem to have fixed the DX error though.

I am still getting this on 1.07

I get the same error at about the same turn count through all version so far. Whats the point of a game you cant play to the finish? While I enjoy the game it still makes me wish for a refund.

And while I used to be able to blame a sub standard machine i just upgraded a few months back...

i havent got the error since i patched it but the game just stops running now since my empire to large. kinda ****es me off. i love the idea behind the game but i mean really alot of things need fixed.
