Gothic 3 Message Board  

I've got Gothic 3 installed and it runs mostly fine- but it lags to crap under some circumstances. If the quick-bar thing is displayed, or if there is text on the screen (quest received or completed, items or experience received, that sort of thing)

My machine is pretty powerful, I've got the following specs:

Intel QX9650 (3.0ghz quad-core)
8GB DDR3 1333mhz RAM
ASUS GeForce 8800 Ultra
1tb 7200 rpm hdd
Vista Ultimate 64-bit

I've found that the game only seems to run on one core, so I am wondering if there is a fix for that or if I should look into overclocking if that would help, or if there are any other suggestions.

There is no problem with your rig, change your game discs and check the new ones out.

Forgive me for sounding like a newb, but I've only got one game disk? What "new ones" are you referring to?
