This game actually cheats. I attacked an area with an absolutely invincible army - 5 groups of hoplites, a bunch of spear guys and 4 generals and the king and his companion cav... almost every one of my groups turned tail and ran away at the first contact with the enemy... Help, we really need a working trainer for Ver 1.2
Thanks

make sure your army is well supplied with food, send workers/slaves carrying food along with your army to keep them stocked. also its a good idea to use ranged units on your flanks to combat other ranged units. also terrain and formations play an important part, keep clear of engaging enemies in tight corridors, as you will both lose men at about the same rate and they will have way more, also use the right formation for the job, if you find your marching an army use the line formation it speeds you up, but make sure to fall into another formation when fighting enemies otherwise your troop will go single file to their death. i suggest you move slow, the enemies usualy always come from the same directions, so place troops in those cities, and NEVER allow the enemy to siege, face them with your army outside the city, they will be tired and food deprived, so you have the advantage. use scout cavelry once a battles over to chase down any fleeing units and execute/enslave them, it prevents the enemy from regrouping, then and only then should you march your army as the enemy will be at a disadvantage.
hope that helps
