I jumped right into SC2. The campaign is awesome in SC2 but I personally picked it up for the multiplayer. Same with the first one I am afraid

I played through most of the SC1 campaign the weekend before SC2 came out then hopped right into the new hotness. I'd already beaten it before anyway, so wasn't missing much.

AcidTBH, you can use ChaosLauncher to run the original SC1 in windowed mode on Win7 (or any Windows for that matter) and it works fine.

As far as segmented campaign arcs goes, I also think it's a cool plan for Blizzard, and because they campaigns are so huge I don't feel cheated in any way.
Rule #154: I am not allowed to rub the monk's head for luck.
Rule #155: I am not allowed to rub any part of the elf chick for any reason.
Rule #306: Chaotic Evil dieties do not have hymnals.
Rule #626: Dwarves are not proper substitutes for puffer fish.

Playing through the game a second or third time sort of gets you to watch for hidden clues and stuff. Of course whats funny is once you so much as touched SC2, you sort of love yet sigh when you play SC1. LOL Oh well so I like eye candy, so what.

I am amazed however just how quickly I went through SC1 and BW. I mean damn, the new game is long in comparison.... I sat down and in a day was done with SC, and another day for BW. Took me longer with SC2...

You can always download the old cutscenes of starcraft 1, so u dont have to play every mission again. It was one of my all time favourites. now i am just waiting the freaking deliver guy to bring my SC2!!!

2 hours and 43 minutes to go... ouf!
But i really hope to make a move from this game! Like AVSP. hehehe

The cut scenes are cool. But most of the detail is in the mission briefings and in the missions themselves where you listen to the characters ***** fight it out. Sometimes I wonder what my character must feel like.

Raynor: "Man this guy is a jerk, kill him"
Commander: "Sometimes I just wish people would do their own dirty work"

Has to suck to sit through all those missions silent and just blowing things up regardless of your opinion of things. LOL

What disappoints me is that the developer are making individual titles for each and every campaign, why not release all three in one package?

And yes, even I did re-install the original one right now, enjoying it!

see..its simply a marketing gimmick..to make some money and to keep the buzz alive plus with each faction game being about 7GB in size i think it'd be a huge game if all of them were put together plus they're trying to probably give each faction its due in terms of importance. atleast that's how i see it

I'm not sure on the marketing gimmick at this point, but I will agree with you that if they had shipped everything all at once, we'd all have disk space issues right now!
