eh, im in teh same boat, for now only the F5 for me dont even work at all, when all the other Fn key work properly, wish that traienr would be customizable

This is going to sound weird, but try pressing the f key one number below the assigned one. When I pressed f4 instead of f5 for the skill cheat it worked.
