Trainer (27/07/10) Downloaded minutes ago.
Game locks after pressing F1 at main menu, whatever i do, it locks.
A program is interfering with trainer operation (security product).
Tried the latest trainer today (which was working last week perfectly) and it locks up whether its started before the game is run or while the game is running and I try to enable it on the main menu or in the pause menu during the game. The trainer locks up each time with a spam/loop of "Activated".
Running Spybot Search & Destroy (turned off) and Avast! (turned off/disabled). Ran trainer in Administrator mode.
Running Windows Vista Ultimate x64 SP3 (fully updated).
Running Steam Retail version of game.
Update sound drivers to their latest versions. Install the latest codecs using the program "Combined Community Codec Pack"

Your problem is with Avast. Even though it says it's disabled, it really isn't. It's one of the reasons I stopped using it since you can never really disable it. What you need to do (and I'm not even sure how to at this point with Avast) is figure how to add the trainer to the exclusions list for Avast so that Avast doesn't even scan the trainer. This will be the only way to use the trainer.

Thanks, I added the entire Steam folder and the trainer folder to the exceptions list in Avast! and disabled the Shields as well. It now works without looping. I had the same problem when I was using AVG free before as well with another game.
Right-Click Avast! icon
-> Open avast! user interface
--> REAL-TIME SHIELDS tab
---> File System Shield
----> 'Expert Settings' button
-----> Exclusions tab
------> 'Add' button
-------> 'browse' button
--------> Search and check-off the folder than your trainer is in.
