Honestly I'm intrigued by the Druids of Roman Briton before the genocide that befell them at the behest of the Roman Empire's need for absolute control over the region.
What I find insane about the massacre is that Rome couldn't keep a hold on Briton even after nearly wiping out the Druids, so it was a total waste. Blood spilled in the name of pointless bloodshed.
It wasn't a total waste, they had control of England. Do I need to explain this to you again? >_>
The only thing that is worth remembering is the picts (older Scottish) saved your butts again

Wait, saved who's butts? >_>
Also, the Romans got them. Lest we forget Boudicca(sp?)
Romans did not invade Scotland fully, we fought back the Romans back south of Hadrians Wall, and from then in-family politics of Septimus Severus' family caused the final nail in the coffin and forced the Romans out.
Under Septimus they did try hard to take over Scotland (Caledonia) and although they caused attrocities and many deaths to the picts, they lost 50,000 men and were forced south due to attrition.
The "we" is kind of ironic, considering ancient Scottish people were bred out at least three times over by various Germanic peoples; introducing Germanic governmental structures which then allowed petty tribes to become a cohesive state.
