Perhaps this issue has been addressed, but I could not find any help with this.
Here is my issue:
First was the trojan being detected when unzipping the program. I addressed that issue by adding the exception in AVG. However, when trying to run the trainer I received the following message:
Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item.
I have noticed that the icon for the trainer is the "generic" looking icon and not the icon with the CH on it. I checked the properties for the application and it didn't show me much. Attempt to run version 1.04 on my FEAR2 1.05 just crashes the game but the trainer itself unzips fine and executes without problems.
Any suggestions?

Well I suggest you remove AVG completely and find some other decent AV like avast! or Kaspersky, since all the AVG users have related problems.
And CH does not have viruses in their releases, so read this page: Link
And the error message you are getting is because AVG is still blocking it from execution.

Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.
