I have a problem with my game. When I play any game (skirmish or campaign) the game plays smoothly with no problems at all until 3 minutes into the game at which point all my buildings blow up and all my units die and I am "defeated". Any help would be very much appreciated.

I contacted EA customer support regarding this problem, they said it had something to do with the registry and told me to uninstall then reinstall it. I tried this many times and the problem still exists.

    0) get the game ORIGINAL
    1) uninstall clone-cd or other virtual drive programs
    2) don't use crappy no-cd cracks
    3) reinstall game (with different serial if possible)

I'm just going to say one thing: Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth is undoubtedly the best RTS game to date.
Glad i got that off my chest.
    Cheers all.

well, i find the game really easy in good campaing even setting it to most difficult.

for all the "rohan" good campaing I only used rohan mounted archers. they are fast, they overrun normal enemys, they destroy buildings and heros fast with fire arrows...

    so start this way:
make only farms, 1 pool to cure and 1 archery. start making farmers and archers to defend your base. once you have bought the fire-arrows, destroy one farm and make the stable. start making rohan mounted archers and give them fire arrows. once you have a lot of mounted archers, send your normal archers and peasants somewhere to get killed (you will need the population to make more mounted archers)

start to move your mounted archers around killing enemys. come back to base to get cured at the pool/fountain. once you have about 8000 gold, destroy another farm and make the armory (i don't remember if you can create the armory easy on the game, i think yes) and upgrade all your mounted archers.
once upgraded it will be very easy to defeat all the game with rohan and they will level up and get more powerfull in every map if you heal them and they survive (all my troops are lvl 10 long before i arrive at the black gate)

note: this is a little hint for beginners, i don't use exactly that strategy but i think it will help him.

the suicide problem is usually a dodgy serial number. In reply to 1 & 2 by chicha.org using virtual drive progs are very usefull and having more than one is good in case one is blacklisted by a game.
I use cloncd, alcohol & virtual daemon. I always clone new games i buy now and mount them to play them. On the 5% of games where this doesnt work you can use the mounted copies to install but not play in which case good old nocd comes in useful. Luckily b4me plays fine mounting it with virtual daemon (just need buckets of space for the image!)
Why make images of cd's? - its faster installing the game, but more importantly you don't loose any cds or risk scratching your cds from continual usage (i have a lot of young nephews & neices and I have ended up with lost/ scratched cd's. Pretty crappy when each game costs around 30ish quid a pop, plus you can't play the game any more if the cd is lost/scratched or the game needs reinstalling.
