Just found the files to edit for some of the in-game values. The only one I've messed with so far are how much AP you are given on leveling up and how much exp is needed to level up. There are two paths that I edited just to be on the safe side(Steam version). Works out great for me. The folder paths are C:\...Documents\Alpha Protocol\APGame\Config and the other one is C:\...\Alpha Protocol\APGame\Config. Just pointing this out for the rest of you to go crazy on. Have fun!!

I was hoping editing the leveling chart would enable non-specialized skills to go to 15. Ah it is not so easy I am afraid. There was no change in the game.

Perhaps editing the specialization classes could yield results, but I could not find anything about them in the configs.

Yeah, I've been trying to figger out a way to either increase the number of Specializations one can do or remove the need for them to max out your skills. I had already tried the aforementioned method of going into the DefaultLevelChart.ini and the equivalent in Users/Documents/Alpha Protocol, also to no avail. It IS nifty, however, to get all skills up to level 10 when you hit level 1 for your character. Still, would LOVE to see if one can add or remove Specializations or even make them available sooner/later. Hmmm... maybe a new feature for the Save Editor when the creator has time?
The problem is that I don't know where the information for Specializations is stored. If I knew that....

Tink I found how to edit how many specializations. In the file APUI, go to the lines nMinSelectedSkillforValidSpecializationConfiguration and nMax... and change the numbers there. I'll post later and see if it works.

Confirmed that this works. Set both values to 9 and you can specialize in all skills.

Also in the APGame.ini file under the [APGame.APRPG_AbilityManager] header, you can edit the second value to change the number of actions you need to take to unlock perks. For example, the first perk is demolitions expert: PerkAcquisitionRequiredCount[0]=50

Change 50 to 1 and you will get the perk with one explosive grenade kill. Setting the value to 0 seems to lock the perk, though.

Ooo! That sounds promising! Gonna fiddle a bit, see what happens!

Edit: I had fiddled previously with the Perk Requirements, actually fairly easy to do, makes the game's early stages pretty interesting.

Edit Mk.II: On a whim went ahead and set all Perk Requirements to 1(aside from Deadeye, as it's set to 0[Zero] by default and frankly I don't know what it is,) just to see what happens. I'll... be in touch.

Would you guys want stuff like that in the editor? I can probably add stuff like that to the editor and make it all easier for you to choose what you want and what you don't want...

I will still need someone to confirm if the changes effect even with save game or a new character is needed to be started in order to make it work.

I would really like to make an editor that will make every one pleased, and the ability to edit stuff you want.

Actually... Yeah! that would be awfully cool of you! Make this stuff a bit easier. I mean, it's not TOO hard, once you understand the logic of the way UE3 is set up, but still, who doesn't like a shortcut or two?

    TL;DR- YES, PLEASE!
