I'm in a rather odd spot here. I know that I'll only be able to play through Dragon Age twice before it gets boring (kind of like Mass Effect, its just the way I am, sadly), so I want to do everything the second time that I didn't do the first time. In my first play through I went to Redcliffe first and had Jowan sacrifice Isolde to save Connor, then I went to the Circle of Magi and sided with the Mages. I know that was probably the wrong order to do it in, but whats done is done.

Now to my question; in my second play through, would it be possible to side with the Templars, but still use the Circle (or whats left of it) to free Connor without killing anyone?

I don't think so, but feel free to try. Even if the First Enchanter seems friendly with the Templars it's more about being courteous. You could use the Circle to save Connor without any sacrifices, but siding with the Templars might be seen as a hostile action from the mages and they may be reluctant to help you.

Read some of this or all of it, whatever floats your boat.
