OK could be better was my choice. i did enjoy it..but it did lack its USP..stealth combat.

This is a decent game, but with it's shallower stealth elements it's not really a Splinter Cell game. Seems the series peaked with Chaos Theory.

It's a good game overall, though yeah the story seems to run a bit short, but all in all, a good ending(or not) for the series.
Co-op and multiplayer is the bread and butter of the game.

:::SPOILER ALERT:::
Personally I think the game is fantastic. I especially liked the Iraq level...really good fluid action...I play all games at the hardest setting when I first start out...Love a challenge...and that level was damned awesome. The rest of the game in my opinion stayed as well and true to the original games as possible considering Sam was sort of rogue in this one and things like tactical armor and such wouldn't have been available. There are endless methods when it comes to taking down enemies as well...one memorable moment for me was at the lab...I was hanging out a window ledge, marked four targets...threw in a flash bang, and BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM...and then vanished...HAHA...the rest of the guys were like..."Holy ****!!" Where the F***?!!!".... ...makes it really immersive and fun. The game is really fluid and I think they did a great job at perfecting the cover/stealth/movement system. Love peeking around a corner looking down the barrel of my weapon. It can get repetitive if you are like me and restart a million times till you do it the way you wanted. hehe But then its not a RPG...it's an FPS...repetition is what it's all about.
Bottom line...this game is well worth 60 bucks if you've got it to spend. If you're broke...just wait a bit til you can...but if you liked the first 3 Splinter Cell's.... any of the HitMan games...and so on...this Game deserves a spot on your hard drive..and this is one you should not miss out on.
As for the multiplayer...it's not too bad...reminds me of golden eye...just a little. Dont expect it to be GRAND...the Single Player part of this game was the primary concern in my opinion. Doesn't mean they wont patch and perfect it over time.

How does it lack stealth combat?
<> Also...if there is an enemy between you and the next cover spot you are running too "in cover mode"...Sam will trip him and if you are quick and hit the execute button.."dont hold it down" he will grab and quickly shoot the guy in the neck, head, heart, or face as he slides by. Freakin AWESOME...I love doing those.
Boom...stealth at its most prevalent. I've also gone through every level without being spotted or killing even one unnecessary target.
Do you mean like the levels on the older games where you cant set off alarms...etc...or if you are spotted or kill any one mission over? i.e. means having less than lethal weapons too.
Sam is rogue in this story...he;s the only one...no agency to worry about exposing or government politicians to **** off...if he is spotted or kills some one...it's okay...but then you can complete this game without being spotted or killing anyone that doesn't need to be killed to progress the story...
Ah well...just my two cents on that. No disrespect intended bud...I just couldn't figure out what you meant. And I really love the game...too hehe fun...nice break from modding FallOut 3 for me.

Fun, but definitely not special enough to play more than once.
