Skill lvling to lvl 5 isn't as much about the skill itself as it to prestige. Look at those toons that have been in the game since 2004. Some serious skilling. You know that toon might have the ablitiy to kick some serious ass.

Been playing this game off and on since its release... Been a few long years. Have over 30 mil SPs in skills can do pretty much anything.
Game is fun but very slow paced. You can destroy a week's worth work in a matter of 10 minutes. Not everyone can do it and then repeat the same thing.
Also its much easier to train if you have a focus. Miner - train only mining related skills, trader - training related, manufacturer - etc. Otherwise it will take you like me - 9 years to be a good jack of most of the trades on one account.
