Square Enix has confirmed that development on the PSN version of Final Fantasy IX is complete. Woo!
Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto confirmed as much on the Square Twitter feed, which we can't quote here because it's all in mad Japanese symbols. This, in case you don't know, means it's set to turn up in the online PlayStation Store as a full game download which will be playable on both your PS3 and PSP.
He didn't give any hint as to when the game might finally arrive on the PS Store, with the game now in the testing phase, but if going by typical PSN releases, it'll be out on the Japanese store first, US shortly after that and then on the Euro store some time during the PlayStation 5's lifespan.
Luckily, Final Fantasy VII and VIII are already out on the PSN in all regions, and they should keep you occupied for at least 20 years anyway.
