Cant besiege Towns or Castles? on Mount & Blade: Warband PC Message Board - Page 1

It randomly wouldent let me attack enemy castles or towns, but i can if there is already an ally attacking then i can just jump in, also i can still loot and pillage villages. it wont even let me when i start a new game and has affected all my other saves.is anyone else having this problem, any help would be great. thanks

were the town been attacked within same day? after it says that the town i no longer undersiege?

sometimes but other times id start a new game make a faction an enemy then attack a town just to see if its still happining. also some castles will let me attack if the have recently been captured, same with towns. sooo god damn annoying

Sometimes the people you ally with end up making peace with the enemy while you are riding to their castle.

Came across that a couple of times, my current game I can only attack the Swadian's so it kinda sucks...

I didn't find the problem in the original Mount & Blade...

oh ok well mine must be glitched or something because iv been at war with the people but still wont let me besige. i started a new game arfter reinstalling and downloading from steam and it worked for a bit but now the same ting is happaning...

I think you need to have a certain amount of troops with you to be able to besiege a town or castle. I've found that it won't let me besiege a town or castle when I'm by myself but if I recruit several troops I can.

You need atleast 5 soldiers(Not Heroes/Companions)
Sometimes you need an army atleast 20% of the total defenders..
