I have heard a rumour that Witcher 2 will be realesed near the end of this year. Is this true or is is it gonna be like Diablo 111 where they keep on advertising realese date to be advise.

You might want to check out the unofficial Witcher 2 FAQ for all of the details that are currently known.

They expect to release the game during the first quarter of 2011. The official announcement of The Witcher 2 was made in late March of 2010, so late March of 2011 is our best guess for the release date for TW2. We don't yet know if there will be different release dates for different countries; if it's like TW1, it will be released in Poland first, then in the rest of the world.

Yes, apparently it will be released the first quarter of 2011. It's about time they made a sequel.
