Regarding the Cheats & Hints.

I have game of the year retail which trainer should I use and will disabling Windows live prevent me from recieving achievements?

Use the trainer that matches with your game version. (e.g. If you own game version 1.7 download a trainer for 1.7 version).

Go here and download the latest patch which matches your language:
fallout.bethsoft.com/eng/downloads/updates.html

Then go and grab the v1.7 trainer. And, no, it shouldn't disable your achievements. Perks of having a trainer over cheats.
