Napoleon: Total War Message Board  

I was trying to find away to give myself more special units, like 5 units of the "42nd Foot" instead of 1, so far no luck. I can't get around the special unit limit, but what I can do is instead of 160 "42nd Foot" or 60 "Horse Guards" I can give myself 1,160 "42nd Foot" or 200 "Horse Guards". So far 1,160 men is the most I've put into one unit. I use the "ESFEditor". If you want to give yourself all techs, small tweaks to units stats, and massive army get the "ESFEditor".

There is a newer version, but this is the one I used for the vid.

I use the new PackFileManager and now I have no limit of special-units.

Yea, I was reading the info on TWC about that and almost went that way. By using the PFM you can really do some tweaking. This way was just really easy and unexpected. Once I have 2 or 3 army's with 8,000 to 10,000 men each and unlimited movement, having a whole army of the "42nd" with more HP and/or a longer firing range, just doesn't seem as important.

Is there any tutorial on how 2 use it..? Is there any chances that U are able to change the amount of soldiers in napoleon's battle..? Im unable to build any forces And Im suppose 2 win with whatever soldier they give me.. Its hard..Hope U cn help me.. Thanks..

There is a basic tut on TWC for the Esf Editor. I don't remember where on the site, I just kind of searched. The Editor deals with saved games and some other things I think (I use it for saved games only). If you can save that game, you should be able to increase your unit size.

I just tried to save a game in "Napoleons Battles" and the game wouldn't let me. Sorry
