I downloaded the 1.15 trainer for a copy that I bought from Direct2Drive and it doesn't work. I tried both retail and Steam version, downloaded a no cd exe and gave that a shot as well. I'm not new to CH and have plenty of experience with trainers but I just can't seem to get it to work.

Any ideas?

I think you have already found the problem. Those trainers work with retail,steam version. Direct2Drive is an alternative version. Maybe that's the reason they don't work.
