Regarding the Mega Trainer (Patch #1), Unlimited Health, Ammo, Money, Med ....
OK I have played all the way thru this game using the first trainer except for the last 15% or so when I used the 1st trainer for the update (no more options but health worked).
Now I am about 1/4 way thru Metro again this time using the 2nd iteration of the increased option trainer.
Issues have surfaced across all the trainers that gamers need to be aware of if they don't wanna tear their hair out in frustration.
Firstly the 'NO RELOAD' option that works for weapons in slot 2 and 3 but makes weapons in slot 4 (shotguns and some airguns) impossible to use.
Some slot 4 guns won't fire at all with 'NO RELOAD' activated (home made shotguns), the semi-auto shotguns will let you fire off two rounds then get stuck in a weird reload loop that doesn't ever complete the only way through is to change to slot 2 or 3.
This can really be a drag cause the game bug which prevents you from loading up on a powerful 'bastard' MG at the start combined with the issues with 'NO RELOAD' mean that for the first couple chapters the slot 2 revolver is the best option the MG that is issued outta the armory is useless, it couldn't stop a charging chihuahua. The revolver with 'NO RELOAD' activated works well tho, but it can get tight in some situations so upgrade to the long barrel version at 1st opportunity it is deadly accurate at range, and stops most things with a single headshot.
Activating the 'EASY KILLS' function to give the MG a chance is not recommended. In fact 'EASY KILLS' should only be used when you don't have a partner to look out for and aren't wearing a gasmask.
For this option not only reduces the initial strength of enemy it reduced the health/strength of all NPC's. Activate it and you will find it nearly impossible to keep a partner alive and any squads scenes likely to end badly very quickly.
You need to be careful when alone as well because the gas mask glass is reduced to the strength of an eggshell with 'EASY KILLS' on. One swipe from a nogalis will out a huge crack in it, the second will smash it to smithereens leaving you gasping for air. Changing gasmasks with 'EASY KILLS' on also seems to be a non starter. I had to switch the option off before the game would recognise that my mask was damaged and swap it out.
I'm writing this so others will be able to get the best out of the trainer and in case the self appointed 'cheat happens fan club' decides to get on their high horse and allege I am either incompetent for needing a trainer or ungrateful for pointing out the trainers shortcomings, maybe they should ask themselves if their hectoring is helping or hindering the trainer makers to make their trainers as good as they can.
I mean no disrespect to anyone by this post but also believe that CH customers should be able to openly discuss all facets of the trainers operation.
I had hoped that these issues would have been fixed by now but few customers come forward when other CH users attack them or maybe these issues are just not fixable, in which case it would be useful to say so.
I am more than happy to post a game save if needed, altho these problems seem universal with this trainer and this game.
