why does everyone hate the new style, whats the point in making a new game, if its just a rehash of the old one. I admit i was annoyed at first by it not being a basebuilding/resource collection rts like the previous ones, but that doesnt mean its a bad game, i thoroughly enjoyed playing beta. I also enjoyed DOW2 which is similar.
Its odd, the info on this game's new style has been aroudn for months, so i dont get why you lot who have bee looking forward for it, couldnt be arsed to read about it before had?
That is the point. This is NOT a new game.
Its Command & Conquer and they made it into something new.
Been done before, and those where not great either.
- Command & Conquer Renegade. (Not a great game)
- X-Com Enforcer (A Really NOT great game)
- DoW2 ( )
- and so on....
I'm sure there are games that have made a god transition to a new genre, I just don't think this will be. (have not played the game yet. But almost all reviews are the same. Nice to look at, bad game.)
I did not want a new kind of game, I wanted Command & Conquer with more story, more strategy, more unites more fun.
If it aint broke don't fix it.
On its own this might be a great game, but its just not C&C.
You do have one point, I should have know about the new style If I had followed the game development, but I didn't.
Gotta be fair here -- they want to make money, and if the only way to do that is to force people to be online, I am never offline anyway, so I don't mind.
I do agree that all they want is to make money.
But this is just fuel for the "Pirate`s"..
Why buy the game with all added DRM that don't make the game any better, when you get a much better product with out PAYING if you just download it.
I will not buy AC2 or Silent Hunter 5 because of this On-Line bull****, and not to sure about ever buying C&C4 either.
I want to buy my games, but not if I get an inferior product.
Why don't they understand that this kinda thing don't hurt the people that download the games, just those that buy it.!?!?!?

I didn't buy the game despite playing the online beta which was boring. But I'm glad I didn't order it, if the security in this game makes it an ordeal to play it - much like my recent purchase Assassin's Creed 2... What has happened to PC gaming the last few years that the pirates always have the last laugh whilst we jump through hoops?
And I wish they would announce ahead of pre-ordering exactly what kind of activation/security they are bundling with the game, which seems to be more like spyware these days. Thats the end of pre-ordering for me until I know EXACTLY what I'm dealing with. Sorry for the rant but I'm very passionate about CnC series.
