Have you tried using a proxy?
Never used one and don't know how to set it up to use one.If you need some sort of address from Ubisoft to use the proxy I will be back where I started.

Tech Support was full of it! Turns out there servers were down,my router was not blocking the port.I'm playing ok for now.Isn't it nice to have a company were one hand doesn't know what the other is doing!
