Okay... so I have a self-sustaining complex with the exception of Silicone Wafers. I have a Silicone Mine nearby which I can use to supply the complex.
Now my question is this: how do I set up a transport to get the Silicone Wafers from the Mine and take it to the Complex? I've tried different combinations of the Trade menu options, but is it really necessary to have to BUY my own Silicone?
(And yes, I know attaching the Mine to the Complex would give me an easy solution, but I don't want to do that )

i think the normal trader way is the only way to do it but since you own the mine you dont have to pay for it (and even if it is the case: you dont pay taxes in this game, you just receive back the amount you just spent)
hope that helps

That's true... I am just re-pocketing whatever I spend... I didn't really think of it that way. I think it's just the indignity of appearing to have to buy your own stuff.
