This seems to be the same issue as that which plagued the previous versions. It wouldn't be so bad... but the AI goes nuts and fills up ALL 1000 slots with stuff. Gets a little hard on the computer when you have tons of planets with this issue.
Anyone know if this will possibly be repaired, or should the feature just no longer be used?

Just use the tactical slots option and leave the logistics alone. The AI somehow only spams the logistics structures and doesn't spam the tactical structures as much. You could just use the logistics option on your home planet only also. that way the AI only can spam a single planet.
