Does the current version of DirectX 10 trainer work with the steam version?

The steam version seems to be a DX9.0c version, (im running Vista, and dxdiag reports I have DX11 installed)...during boss battles the game will "usually" 99% of the time crash if the trainer is activated/used at any time since the last load...
