Well, as the title says, the maximum resolution the game gives me is 1280x1024, it doesn't show the max resolution of my current monitor which is 1440x900.
Any ideas?
PS: It doesn't show what's in between either... (1360x768 and 1360x1024)

I'm assuming you haven't run the configuration utility yet. Do that and set your res in there.
