I have similar problems. The alien campaign drops the framerate terribly and the cutscenes have no sound. Marine and preditor are smooth though. I'm running it on xp (high settings).

ye with me to the alien cut scenes have no sound, but in the predator campaign i all so have this issue it's like performance lag it like stop's for a few second's and the sound loop it mostly happens with the pred after loading screne and it happens a while after that mostly when i look around ow and i have XP so i don't think the game can run on dx10 and i have tryed to lower graphics and it's still the same, and crysis even thouth 2 year's old it still has the best video game graphics ever, but avp still has pretty good one's.

Ya I'm sorry to say it's just a matter of your specs. Crysis isn't a good benchmark considering it's age. I'm dl-ing the demo right now, so I'll tell you in a few...but I'm running 2 x64 3.4s with 8gb DD2. Though my new card doesn't get here till Tues, currently on an Nvidia 8800. So if you're on Vista/7 your ram only meets bare minimum. Just look at a min requirements...

Processor: 3.4 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
Memory: 1 GB System RAM (XP)/ 2 GB System RAM (Vista)
Graphics: DirectX 9.0c compliant video card with 128 MB RAM (NVIDIA 7900 or better, ATI X1800 or better)

Grammar and punctuation is the difference between; "I helped my uncle, Jack, off a horse." ...and... i helped my uncle jack off a horse.

has anybody found the place where savegames and options are stored? maybe there's room for some manual tweaking like reducing that aweful motion blur.

My only real issue with this game is when I play in DX11 mode. Under DX9 the game runs flawlessly, but when I run it in DX11 even though it bumps it down to DX10 at random times it will pause for a short period of time like everyone else. Except I've been reading where everyone has had this problem with DX9 and 11. I haven't had any sound issues with my x-Fi Titanium.

Iam having a sound issue with trainer as weird as it sounds. As soon as I pass main menu I have no sound. using bose subwoofer and 2 speakers on usb2. Have X-fi extreme card. When I disable trainer sound is active.
specs win 7 64bit I7 975 5870x2. all my games run fast and great sound on the bose speakers, there has to be a bug somewhere in alien running steam dx11 vers.
