Empire: Total War Message Board  

I have tried uing most of the Empire: Total War trainers but none of them work. I go to try and start the Grand Campaign, with the trainer activated, and after about 1/4 through the loading bar the game just crashes and goes back to the windows screen. This is extremely irritating because I love the game!

Does anyone have an awnser? I'm sure other people have been having the same problem, so surely someone has come up with a fix by now!

Probably you have a different version (STEAM might have updated the game....AGAIN!).

I have tried pretty much every version and none of them work. I don't know what else it could be that's stopping the trainer from working.

I to have the this problem. I have the Steam version of empire and tried the lastest trainers CH has with unsuccessful attempts. The trainers or at least the latest one seem to work when I press F1 and then the number keys for the desired effects but they don't work for example with the money cheat I believe its # 1 I press this and my balance remains the same?
And I tried the endless turn limit but this doesn't work either. Now I know the trainers on here state they are for the "retail versions only" so that may be why but I've used older trainers here with the same version which is Steam and they worked great? Not sure whats up now?

I have the retail version but none of them work. I would like to thank you for offering advice. The strange thing is that when i look in steam it says that there has been 11 or 12 updates but when i hover over the Empire: Total war ican on Games it says that its version 1.0.0.0. So does anyone know what one to pay attention to? I think its the Steam one but im not sure.

If anyone knows and if anyone has any advice for my origional question it would be greatly appreciated.

The latest version is 1.5.0 Build 1330.21557 (from the left corner of my game's main menu) don't know if thats what you meant though.

I'm using the latest trainer and it works perfectly by the way.
