Well I saved the Rachnai in the first one and kept Wrex as the leader of the Krogan and kept the council intact and kept Tali as a possible leader of the Floatila and saved the Genophage cure and made the geth all anti-reaper.
So I kept the collector station aswell so I have everything to fight the reapers in the Mass Effect 3. Aswell as all the crew alive I think that is the best way to start the 3rd game when it comes out.
I thought it would be best to get every possible resource to fight the thousands of reapers you saw at the end
Except for the collector ship and saving all my crew on the collector ship , I did everything you did

You may think you have the best way to start ME3 now... but you have to know BioWare isn't gonna make it that easy
Well, there's validity to both sides.
The Reapers are significantly advanced, technologically, as compared to the current species in the galaxy. Moreover, all of the species in the galaxy are based around Reaper technology (the mass relays). Logic suggests that to even have a fighting chance against an armada of sentient dreadnoughts, you're going to need to use their own technology against them.
All that being said, you're handing over perhaps the greatest treasure trove of technology in the galaxy to an organization bent on the ascension of humanity at any cost. Not only that, but this is technology fueled by the dead. It's horrific.
So, the question BioWare has imposed upon us as players is a question of humanity; are we willing to sell our souls to save ourselves, or do we believe that we can find a better way?
As for me, I decided to destroy it. True power is earned, not given or taken.
Too true! Puts perfectly into words what my thought process was when I destroyed the base ... there will be another *better* way to beat them ...
