I don't remember if this has been covered in one of the other topics (if it has, I was probably involved in the discussion... typical), so...

Does anyone know of anything which actually changes anywhere in the Galaxy to indicate you've wiped out the Collectors and saved them all from being processed into a human milkshake? Apart from the brief pat on the back from your crew, there doesn't seem to be anything different from when you were in imminent danger, whether you're on the Normandy, Illium, or Omega.

Nope, nothing changes. News of my victory hadn't even reached Anderson, the old fart. Was it Tali that said: "Being a hero is like pi**ing yourself in black trousers, it's a warm feeling, but nobody notices."

Haha, that was Jacob, but all too true none-the-less. It's a shame really... while, granted, the main story is over... it'd be nice for some things to change.

Or at the very least have the Normandy avoid the apparent rupture in the space-time continuum which shot them a few months into the future where the Normandy is fixed and fully functional again.

Yeah well the deeds of the greatest heroes usually go unsung. Still Shepherd gathered his flock and bested the Collectors, next stop, Reapertown, population: A whole lot of Reapers.

Sorry for the double post, but I have a seperate question to the one I originally asked (hijacking my own thread? Shocking).

If I play through and finish the game with a character, destroying the collector base, that end game data and decision is stored in that specific characters profile for importing into ME3... now, if I loaded a previous save on that character and re-do the ending, but this time saving the collector base, does the previous end-game profile get overwritten with the new ending, or is it saved seperately in a new profile?

Sorry, that was a bit of a convaluted explanation... 😵 Hopefully my actual question is clear enough.

Actually I know very well what you mean and I think it will spawn another profile. It did for me in ME1. I finished it one time by following the story and finishing with level 57, then I loaded a previous save and got level 58. There were two saves of the same Shepherd, one with level 57 one with 58. If Bioware doesn't do something to effect this, it will work.

And I am the biggest moron on the earth... I just remembered that I could've used a console cheat to score level 60 on ME1 easy, of course that idea would hit me just after I finished ME2...

    Ayy lmao

How about making a copy of all save-files contained in the folder of that particular char, just to be safe...
