Does not make any difference to my game whether the trainer is installed and/or used, not used or not even installed, My game sill crashes quite regularly but I don't think this ME2 I think its thats foul loathing thing called Win7!
a problem has occurred, we are attempting to fix, never doed probably never will, my internet explore crashes regularly, usually is restrarted but its just another one of these glitches that you have to get used to if you use window.

I have had crashing problems with ME 2 since it was released, the trainer before this one allowed me to play the game with only one crash a day.
The new trainer crashes the game as soon as I enable it. NO firewall, NO antivirus, NO anti spyware running on this system, system is scanned monthly but as of yet to find any infections.
I removed and reinstalled the game, ran it and the trainer and was able to play the game. Updated to 1.01, downloaded and installed 1.01 trainer from CH, downloaded patch from ME site. Start game, get to main menu, hit F1, game crashes with a fault in both the masseffect2.exe and the CH.dll file in the user temp directory.
Again, this is a new install with NO saved games in it.

i've noticed one thing very peculiar. it could be nothing. but when u import ME1 save game most of us i think tend to import just the character profile and not the character face and looks and we create our own custom looks etc. now when i did that previously..my game crashed very regularly. but this time around i imported the character traits as well as the profile..looks etc. and so far my game hasn't crashed at all.

Try to run both, ME2 and ME Trainer as an administrator.
    I guess that would help.

And don't activate the trainer before you receive full access to resume the game, or wait until you are in the game.

Done, Did, no change. All my apps run as administrator, only thing I have not tried is changing the compatiblity to Vista sp2 and see what happens. XP sp3 did not change anything about the crashes.

If you run Vista, you definitively must change it to XP SP2.
Vista is exactly so bad as Windows ME was.

Or the best part, upgrade to Windows 7.
