The first trainers clearly say "RETAIL VERSION", but the other ones don't specify, but they probably do not work with Steam either.
EDIT: I'm now patching my game to 1.2.1 (Retail) to try the trainer out, doubt it will help though.

Working perfect here, 1.2.1 32 Bit Trainer on 1.2.1 Retail version.

Thwe Steam version of the game as downloaded is 1.1 - that trainer crashes on me win Win7 (64-bit), so resorted to using the cheat codes found here.
The retail Crysis patches won't work onthe Steam version, as those patches have the location of the game hardcoded - and the Steam path isn't the same as the retail one.
You MIGHT be able to patch through multiplayer - haven't tried, but given how Crytek/EA handled this release, I doubt it'll work.

I have the same problem. I have tried all the trainers. each one causes the game to crash. Also have tried using the cheat codes supplied. this also causes the game to crash. Is there anyway for one of these to work with the steam version of the game??

got it to work. Used the 1.2.1 32bit trainer. Had to change the compatibility mode to XP. i am using vista.
