Pff, when I met Alenko from my ME1 save, he just straight-out denied me for working with Cerberus. I find it hard to stay faithful to a character you hardly speak to after you die.

The idea of faithfulness worried me so much that I replayed the entirety of Mass Effect 1 without romancing anyone so that I could have fun in 2.

I personally had and still have strong feelings for Ash, the romance in ME1 was extremely well done, and the emotional choice of either saving her or Kaiden and all the other things you go through together in the first game adds even more to the relationship.
Personally im hoping that the small role in ME2 is a test for all the people that actually love Ashley, and that we will all be rewarded for staying faithfull in ME3. There are enough hints to indicate the relationship definately isn't over, Ashley clearly still has feelings for you, the encounter on Horizon and the email from her clearly show that, holding her photo before going into the Omega 4 relay is the icing on the cake and hopefully indicates the relationship is far from over.
I know there are alot of Ashley haters, but i personally think she is one of those kind of characters you either love or hate, if you actually bother to take a deep interest in her you find that she is indeed a deep and well thought out character, and personally one of my definate favourites in mass effect, lets all hope for a large squad role and romance for Ashley in Mass Effect 3!!!

I will be honest ... I remained as strong as I could to both Ash and Liara (have two playthroughs).
But with Ash, when she goes beserk on Horizon and doesn't trust you enough to know you arent fully with Cerberus (at least the Paragon route) ... that ended it for me.
Plus it was really hard to resist Miranda a second time ....

My male character was very disappointed with the cold treatment from Liara and figured that he might as well enjoy Miranda's hawtness while Liara is too busy hunting the shadow broker. My female character will stay true to her, just in case Liara comes back in ME3 and does not forgive you for not staying committed to her.
