You will have Legion with from the start of the game. You can do the same for every follovers, but I don't know how it will be to have Tali with you, for rescue Tali.

It's just one way to find out, test it.

there's this one time i played it where i managed to save everyone till the very end. no one died. but during the last 3 play-through's someone or the other dies during the last mission. i can't understand y. i have everyone's loyalty. i have everyone upgraded fully. its either Legion or Jack or Samara. i can't seem to save everyone during the last mission.

Are you using a different combinations of the specialist choices you can make? Who you pick as the team leaders makes a big difference on who dies and who survives.

I managed to romance and keep Tali alive, so are the others!

I just can't keep my other crew members alive(Chambers, gardner, etc.)

I've always sent Grunt back as the escort (though once I used Zaeed instead) and I've never had anyone die. When you get the choice of saying "we have to hurry" or "someone will have to hold the door", I think the option you choose here has an effect on team deaths also.

yea..u're right. so what combo would u recommend? because i need to have a save-game with the entire team alive at the end of the suicide mission. i can't seem to remember who i picked as team-leaders during the play-through where i did manage to save everybody.

I've always made basically the same choice:

Garrus is always the first team leader,
Legion always goes through the vents,
Miranda is always the second team leader
Grunt is always the escort (all but one time at least, when I used Zaeed and that worked too),
Used both Samara and Jack for barrier,
And I always choose the "we have to hurry" dialogue option.
I've also used a combination of Tali, Garrus, Miranda and Legion as my final team to go against the boss.

Never had anyone die on me, except for my very first playthrough when I went and did most of the loyalty missions AFTER my crew got abducted.
