If EA alone have a say in it it'll be a pile of Quads. I have even less respect for EA than I do Hollywood. But if Bioware had a big part to play it'll be the best movie ever.

I'd love to see other ME games after the third which go into events which are briefly mentioned in the trilogy, i.e. more indepth history on the Protheans, maybe even flashbacks etc, or the First Contact War, setting up of the Citadel council, etc (doesn't have to be from a Human perspective!). Or, even better, the Geth development and eventual insurrection.

Just noticed something finishing another playthrough - the pad Joker hands Shepard has what looks like details/specs on a Reaper. At first I thought this was just tactical data for finding a weak spot, but then I wondered what if it's something more?

I like the idea of a 2011 release so long as they don't drop any more features. Granted there were improvements from ME1 to ME2, but they cut a lot of corners. We just have a dozen weapons and only a handful of armor options. ME1 had plenty... maybe to many, but still it shows they took the time to make a lot of models for every type of alien on your crew (minus Tali).

No telling how many work hours they saved by not doing all those models. I just hope they don't try something like that again to save time. I'd rather wait a few years for something spectacular than 1 year for something duct taped together.

I saw that too Skyheart but I also noticed that it looked a lot like the hologram of Harbinger from just before the Collector base was destroyed.

Poor Prothean's, they really were being used. Even their so-called 'General' was just a Reaper taking direct control of his puppets.

Gotta give credit to Bioware for pulling this off, but I actually felt sorry for the General when Harbinger pulled out. I dunno... there's no facial expression, but there's just something there which makes you wish you could save him/it/them.

I hop that if they make a movie about mass effect that it will be good, so do the bioware staff:

Casey Hudson - Bioware Project Director
“Obviously we have a tremendous amount of interest from people in Hollywood to make a major motion picture about ‘Mass Effect… The most important thing for us is, we don’t just want to see a movie get made. We want to see a great movie get made, if it’s going to get done at all.”

“We’re just looking at our options there, but waiting to make sure we have something really right before we do it.”

Mass Effect 3 will be great and I do not believe that will be the end of the franchise, there will probably be more games, books, etc. Just like halo got ODST and Reach after the orignial trilogy, but then with Mass Effect being a better franchise imo

Suggestion to bioware and mass effect team, they dun need Hollywood to shoot mass effect movie, it will probably go down the drain anyway cause hollywood aren't really good at making game turn movies. Hell, they can't make good original movies.

Look at the cinematic trailer for ME2, I rather bioware do such an animation movie if they decide not to use games to tell any other ME stories.

Casey Hudson says that hollywood approaches them for the idea is cause they bloody wan to dig for gold...and thrash a good name at the same time. Keep your damn hands off ME, hollywood! You guys are like reapers...coming to end all the goodness of ME.

Found a great inerview with Casey Hudson which drops a few details about the third game:

    Link

Best bit I think is the little tidbit about tracking how much you use certain characters, especially Legion.
