Looks like you must be using a disk image to play the game, or perhaps a bad crack.
Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.

If you have Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% installed, you may have to disable them. If that doesn't work, you have to uninstall those programs. SecuROM is notorious for shutting down games if you have the following conditions true:
-Have Daemon Tools installed (not running, but installed) -Have Alcohol 120% or 52% installed (not running, but installed) -Have 2 disk drives (will think you are attempting to copy the game)

Actually the Easiest thing to do, if your running on Vista etc, is to disable the UAC (User Account Controls) Start --> Control Panel --> User Accounts and Family Safety --> User Accounts --> Turn User Account Control on or off --> Uncheck the box and click ok.
