According to rumors from Bioware the expansion, currently called Awakening, is due out in March of 2010. They say you can import your old character and make new customization for him/her or you can choose to become a new grey warden from Orlais. They have also stated that 5 new companions will become available to recruit.

I'm surprised and excited. With Mass Effect 2 coming out and now an expansion for Dragon Age, Bioware is working overtime to please their fanbase.

I was about to say that about Bioware's dedication. Bioware is now officially my favorite RPG maker ever. Surprised and excited wouldn't even scratch the surface...

Bioware has always been my favorite, followed by Bethesda.

EDIT: It's supposed to cost $40 so I suppose it's lengthy

Well yeah, I guess so. If it was a simple addition it would've been far less.

With 5 new characters and the ability to create a new hero, I think it's probably about the length of Shivering Isles for Oblivion, prehaps even a bit longer.

It would be fun to see Orlais. From my first impression of Orlesian women, it's likely to be something like a medieval France only from what I gathered it's without magical creatures.

    Ayy lmao
