Aight so one of my friends told me her heard something about steam adding a new DLL in the new year (DLL is an update) where it adds Zoe, Bill, Louis, and Francis, get added to a new map, where they meet the new characters (Elis, Coach, Rochelle, and Nick).

So what you guys think about that?

Its called DLC (Downloadable Content) and i think its going to be a great improvement to the current game and i hope they add 8v8 versus and scavenge mode and along with that will most likely be 8 player co-op which should be fun if they put this on the DLC.

Aight, close enough, and yeah it sounds interresting 8v8 with all slots used, instead of the regular just 4 pickable characters.

Well actually, you'll only be doing one campaign with them(that I know of) and you won't be playing as the old, just the new ones. It'd be cool, though, if they put this DLC in the first too, so you can play in the eyes of the originals.(I do hope they do that.)

Yeah this is going to be a cool addition, although it is about 7 months away from happening. I hope at this point they add all the old characters as playable in the new maps as well. Even adding the old maps in this game would be awesome. I really love No Mercy LOL

Doing either of those things would break the story line of the games, so it isn't going to happen. I'm sure someone will come up with a mod for it at some point, just don't expect it as an official release.

There are already mods to put the old maps in the new game with the new survivors. You can actually just transfer the map files over, and it should work just fine.

8v8 will never be a reality, according to Faliszek. He did hint that 8 player co-op might be a possibility though.

It would be a neat option to have the original survivors in the new maps, as there are already mods for this, but an official VALVe option would make things run smoother.
