Regarding the Trainer 1.0005, Unlimited Health, No Armor Damage, ....

do any trainers work on the steam version? or anything? im at the wish granter and i cant get any farther because i have no health packs (cant turn back) and i die climbing the ladder to the wish granter from radiation.

im on patch 1.0005, the trainer does not work, is there a way to make it work for steam.

sorry for the re-post, but the other post on this subject was set to unlimited members.

    Hi...
I read this in another forum...

Sorry for the double post, but I figured it out.

For mods, create a gamedata folder in your stalker directory. Using the stalker data unpacker tool, extract all the .db (example .db1 .db2 .dba .dbb .dbc) files into that folder. Now you can install mods into the gamedata folder.

For trainers, replace the regular XR_3DA.exe with a noDVD fix .exe, and voila.

I now have a Steam version of Stalker identical to the retail version.

I'm not sure that it works, but it could be worth trying.

I picked it up on Steam during the $1.99 sale since I lost my original copy, I have yet to get the trainer to work....It's the first trainer I have had issues with.

The trainer looks like it wants to work, as in where the trainer says XR_3DA.exe loading, it blinks like its going to say trainer loaded or whatever the newer ones say when they are loaded and working. I'll try a no-cd patch but not sure how it will work with Steam(never had a reason to crack my steam games since it doesn't need a disc)
