I don't see what the issue is in all honesty. It's a rally game. What do you expect, perfect grip like you're on a surfaced road? :P The handling in the game might not be to a lot of peoples taste, but they have designed it to be fairly easy to control (having played racing games over many years, this feels 'heavily' assisted; no a great deal of realism in the physics in my opinion).

As for it been like 'ice', not too sure about that. It's not any copy protection kicking in for that. Just how the game is. I was fairly suprised when the initial post came up slagging it right off. It could be a hell of a lot worse. As for being hard? I'd say quite the opposite.

My post may have come across sounding like, "as if you can't drive on this easy game". :P And that is not how I meant it. To me the handling feels assisted and easy to pickup. To me. I suppose it depends on which other racing games you've played. It would be better still if I plugged my PS2-style gamepad in, i'm sure of it. No game is ever going to have it 100% for everyone.

If my car had any grip at all i would be amazed i feel like I'm playing faster bumper cars in dirt 1 i was a really good driver in this I'm the worst person to ever drive in the history of the sport i tried changing my settings to make the car stick more but i had to go around the track at no more than 40-50 kmh if i do ill just badly crash this is the worst racing game I've ever played it has no realism no joy in racing the drivers are incredibly hard on "very easy" their cars seem to made of alien parts capable of going around corners at light speed the brakes of their cars just make them go faster its like they get 4 turbos instead of breaks the tiniest bit of acceleration can make your car go straight right or left the use of the steering wheel seems to be for show you may as well just tape the acceleration button down and come back later.

I don't know if you noticed but this is a Rally game, it's supposed to slide as hell. DiRT 1 was the real piece of crap.

I've been playing Rally games since Colin McRae Rally 2 (1999) and this game is no different, you just need to learn how to drive!

BTW, this is the best CMR game in the series so far!

Don't really care about the other racing games you played because you can't compare this game to standard road racers or sims at all. I find it hard to believe any one can't just pick up and play this game on casual and come in first, if not your first race then the second because now you have a feel for the game. Half the corners in this game you can take at over 100 Km/h except maybe hair pins, the AI slow down to a crawl in the corners making it even easier to overtake them. Also this game just doesn't work with a wheel, its way too much of an arcade game. Sorry to say this but if you can't drive the cars in this game you must really not be good at racing games, because to be honest this was not near as challenging as I was expecting.

You know that im playing this on computer with a xbox 360 controller and do not criticize my driving skills on a game that's just an insult. Apart from that i found in options there was a big problem in the controls everything was set so the tiniest acceleration would make my person push flat on the accelerator and the tiniest bit of turning pushes a full steering wheel turn. Anyway i still don't play it so could people stop posting here now its over please stop posting.

    Dirt 2 ≠ Forza Motorsport 3

if you want grip play FM3 it's completely normal if you don't have grip in Dirt 2 .... it's a rally game
