I've done this a bunch of times, works great!! This will work good for people who just want a few more guys or a lot more guys!, or want a bunch of guys who are hard to kill, or put some tanks and stuff just in case you need it. You start a mission and save it quick, then go into the GEM Editor load that mission change whatever you want (troops, tanks, guns, that kind of stuff.) then save it, then switch it with the saved game!!

Where do I find the GEM Editor from? I'll try it and let u know... never mind I found it in the main game directory. K, so do I load the savegame in GEM or just that particular level and edit it and then start the level with my save instead of the default level?

It won't matter which one you do first, but this is what I did. Start a mission in the game then save it, make sure you name it so you can find it. Now load that mission in the Editor and change what you want (I only changed tanks, and AT guns but it should work with whatever.). When you go to save it make sure you name it something, DON'T overwrite the original! This is sometimes the hardest part, you have to locate each file. This is the path for the in-game saved game for this example, C:\Users\jim\Documents\my games\men of war\profiles\player\save\switch. Now copy and paste this file somewhere safe in case something goes wrong. Locate the saved file for the editor, this is the path for me F:\game install here\men of war\Men of War\resource\map\single\1\6-sevastopol (make sure to save it.) Open this file with notepad, now this is what you have to do.
Open the in-game saved game and you'll see this at the top,
Now save-as a mission.scn file and put it where you can find it. Copy and paste that file into the in-game saved game folder in this case named "switch". If you did it right when you go into the game you should see all your changes.
Good Luck!

I see the mission.scn file in my in-game save folder but I don't see the mission.scn file in my editor save folder? I just see four files (map.file, map.net, map.grs, map.ply) and non of them have the text described in them?

When you open your main MOW folder you should see a folder named "resource",open that, then the folder named "map", then "single", then you should see folders with numbers find the one with your saved mission file. For me it's folder "1", then "6-sevastopol" and the files named "switch.mi"

Yeah, I have the location right but like I said my editor save file in mow/resources/map/single/2/turbok1/ - only 4 map files and no mission file in there?
Let me get this strait and I'll leave u alone. Im going to generalize here but I'm repeating your steps.
1. Start a level in the game and save before proceeding. Name it something u can remember (turbok1) then quit the level and game.
2. Load GEM Editor and load your in game save - for me its (turbok1)
3. Edit the map by adding units, etc. then save as - for me its (turbok1) something u can remember.
4. Now go to c/documents/my games/men of war/etc.. and open your level save and copy the begining text.
5. Go back to your game directory and open your editor save game mission file and paste the code copied from your in game level save at the very top. Save the file.
6. Start the game and load the save game - for me its (turbok1) and you will see your changes.
Now I have done all these steps but when I get to copying the code from the in game save to the editor save file I dont see the mission file I need to paste the code to? This is where Im stuck...

gijas04, I'm more then happy to help you any time, with this tip or one of my others.
Ok I can't figure out where your going wrong, so I'm just going to go over step #2.
Load the GEM Editor, hit F3, bring up the "mission editor menu" and hit load, then hit "single", then for this example hit #2, then "3-toburk", then "0.mi", then "ok". Now that will load that mission. After you make your changes, bring up the "mission editor menu" hit Save-as and in this case name it "tobruk1.mi" and hit "ok". When you go into the mow/resources/map/single/2/tobruk1 folder you should only see "tobruk1.mi". If your not seeing this then I'm not sure whats going on.

OK, I must have been editing just the map and not the actual mission since I didn't hit F3 for the mission editor. Alright, I need to read the tutorial for GEM but don't worry bout that. I never messed with GEM before u posted so Im in the dark here. I will try this step tonight....
